About Our Research

How we decide what to recommend — and what we won't.

SafeStride started from a simple problem: most bathroom-safety content online is written by the company selling the tub. We wanted a place a son or daughter could send their parent without wondering what was left out.

What has to be true before something gets recommended

How We're Funded

Some links on SafeStride go to providers we've researched, and if you request a quote or purchase through one, we may earn a referral fee at no cost to you. This is how the site stays free to use. It does not change which options we cover — a provider paying us more does not move them up the page. If we haven't personally reviewed a claim we can verify, we say so instead of guessing.

Who's Behind This

Built by people who work in this industry — not just write about it

SafeStride is published by ClickThru Media, a media and research team that has spent years studying how home-safety and mobility products are marketed to seniors — including where that marketing overstates what a product can do. We built this site because families deserve a plainer version of that same research, without the sales pressure.

"The question we ask before publishing anything isn't 'does this convert' — it's 'would I send this page to my own mother.'" — SafeStride Editorial Standard
